Modern methods for protein examination
March 29th, 2008 -- Posted in Healthcare | No Comments »A main technique for protein structure determination is x-ray dissection, which is named x-ray crystallography. Protein crystallography is considered to be just a part of x-ray crystallography but it is truly significant. The protein is such a complicated matter that has threefold structure, but it's found out only after the research of the secondary structure of protein. Sometimes, on the basis of crystallography information it is possible do define the protein quaternary texture, but it is not always the case. A lot of different circumstances can affect the determination of protein structure. Folding of protein is the main structural characteristic of protein molecule. The protein is quite surprising substance, because all the data about it is stocked and folded in its primary structure. So lots of scientists from all over the world try to determine the protein more properly. Read the rest of this entry »
