If you are remaining there for a few months in France, you can decide going for a furnished apartment, as in this way you don't have to purchase anything, no headache, and you just need to install yourself there. But if to look at it from the other side, for example you are to stay there for a few years, it will be much more economical to rent unfurnished apartments. You may go to a market of used things and furnish your accommodation with furniture you like most.
